The Hortense 5 light pendant, designed by artist Annet van Egmond in collaboration with Maretti Lighting, is a sculptural fixture inspired by hydrangeas from her garden. The bronze toned frame with gold coloured flowers highlights the laser cut veins and organic shapes. Five 1W G4 LED light sources create a warm, refined glow and are dimmable with phase cut. Supplied complete with driver and light sources, this sustainable pendant is an ideal statement piece above a dining table, kitchen island or in hotel and restaurant projects.

The Hortense 5 light pendant is designed by sculptor and light artist Annet van Egmond and developed in close collaboration with Maretti Lighting. The design originates from a multi year artistic process in which Annet welded the first Hortense sculptures by hand. Together we translated her artwork into a lighting collection that can be used in interiors and projects while staying true to its artistic origin.
The inspiration comes from the hydrangeas in Annet’s garden. The veins, structures and rhythms of the leaves form the basis for the sculptural Hortense flowers. In the 5 light pendant the veins of the leaves are CNC laser cut from metal. The other parts are hand formed, welded and shaped, resulting in a fully metal fixture that still looks soft and organic. The bronze toned frame with gold coloured flowers adds depth and makes the floral shapes stand out clearly in the space.
The five light points use 1W G4 LED lamps. They offer low energy consumption, a long lifetime and can be replaced, which makes the Hortense collection a sustainable choice. The warm light accentuates the veins and contours of the flowers and creates a refined play of reflections and shadows on surrounding walls and ceilings. The pendant is supplied complete with driver and light sources and is dimmable with phase cut, so you can easily adjust the light level to the atmosphere you want.
Thanks to its five light sources this version has more volume and works very well as a central statement piece. The Hortense 5 light pendant is ideal above a dining table or kitchen island, in a seating area or as a feature in a hotel lobby or restaurant. You can use it as a single piece or combine it with other Hortense models to create a layered lighting composition.
