Electric sailing: that is a reality with the Zilvermeeuw Z9. This event ship was delivered in April 2023 and emits 0% CO2, particulate matter, soot or other fossil fuels when we sail on our batteries. We have 1,250 kWh of green energy available on board. The time we can sail on batteries depends greatly on the current and speed we sail. In practice, we can sail on average for about 8 hours on batteries.
Sails cleanly, sustainably and completely on electricity. Even all functions on board - such as lighting (provided by Maretti Lighting), air conditioning and catering functions - run on electricity.
The Z9 runs on batteries, which are fully recharged and recharged every night. This way, the ship can move forward at full speed early in the morning. The Z9 is super modern, quiet, durable, innovative and also has a high-quality and luxurious finish.
