BUILDING A GREEN FUTURE

SOLAR PANELS

In 2020, Maretti Lighting had installed 1200 solar panels on the roof of its headquarters. The installation produces 350,000 kWh annually and can supply approximately 100 households with green electricity. The solar panels result in a saving of 150,000 kg of CO2 per year.

Maretti Lighting has taken a sustainable step by installing solar panels on the roof of their company building. These solar panels not only create an impressive sight on the roof, but contribute to our commitment to environmentally friendly practices as well. The solar panels have been carefully placed and optimized to capture the maximum amount of sunlight. Maretti has opted for high-quality panels that ensure efficiency and sustainability.

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

With its commitment to sustainability and the use of solar energy, Maretti Lighting serves as an inspiring example for other companies in the industry. We demonstrate that it is possible to be environmentally friendly without compromising on quality and performance. Through our dedication to sustainability and renewable energy, the solar panels on Maretti Lighting's roof have transformed the company into a greener and more environmentally conscious organization. It is a step in the right direction towards a more sustainable future!

ENERGY-EFFICIENT LIGHTING AND INNOVATIVE IDEAS

LED lamps are not only much more energy-efficient but also have a significantly longer lifespan. To optimize our LED lighting, Maretti continuously works on innovative ideas. For instance, our retrofit solutions (replacing halogen light sources) in existing installations, developing interchangeable LED modules, and continually improving the number of Lumens per Watt.

MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

LED lighting is much more energy-efficient than traditional lighting technologies such as incandescent bulbs and fluorescent tubes. They have higher energy efficiency and convert a larger percentage of consumed energy into light instead of heat.

Also, LED lamps typically have a much longer lifespan. They can last up to 25 times longer than traditional incandescent bulbs, resulting in less frequent replacements, lower maintenance costs, and less waste.

LEDs do not contain toxic substances like mercury, which is present in some other lighting options like fluorescent tubes. This makes LED lighting safer to use and more environmentally friendly, as there are no harmful substances leaking when they are disposed of. The research and development department focuses on the latest technical innovations. Our retrofit light source facilitates the replacement of existing lighting fixtures or lamps with energy-efficient LED lighting.

This can be applied in various sectors, including commercial buildings, offices, industrial facilities, and homes. However, it is essential to check the compatibility of the new LED lamps with the existing fixtures and electrical installation in a retrofit project. Of course, Maretti can provide professional advice!

Considerable attention is also given to interchangeable LED modules. If an LED module becomes defective, it can be easily removed and replaced with a new one. This eliminates the need to replace the entire fixture, saving costs and effort and reducing waste production.

By replacing only the LED module instead of the whole fixture, the fixture's lifespan can be extended. Minimizing waste and preserving existing fixtures contribute to a more sustainable lighting approach.

OPTIMIZATION

Optimizing the number of lumens per watt (lm/W) is a crucial aspect when selecting energy-efficient and efficient lighting solutions.

We also focus on luminaire designs that ensure better light control and minimize light loss. It is always advisable to look for products and solutions with a high number of lumens per watt and to select the best-fitting solution based on specific lighting needs and applications.

SOLUTIONS TO SAVE ENERGY

By implementing lighting control systems such as dimmers, motion sensors, or daylight sensors, the lighting can be adjusted according to the time of the day. This helps to prevent unnecessary energy consumption, further improving the efficiency of the lighting system.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING, TRANSPORT, AND SECOND-HAND PRODUCTS

Production mainly takes place in Almere or elsewhere in the Netherlands, reducing the need for extensive transportation. Additionally, Maretti is aware of the environmental impact of traditional packaging methods.

By opting for sustainable packaging solutions, we can reduce waste, preserve natural resources, and promote ecological sustainability.

Additionally, we have chosen to offer returned items as second-hand products. We believe that our products deserve a second chance, and we offer them again at a discounted price. This way, we prevent products being discarded unnecessary.

THE GROWING CONCERN ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES.

Our designs are crafted by highly skilled personnel in our on-site factory in Almere. We also organize teleconferences about our products instead of hosting physical meetings, to reduce transportation and CO2 emission.

With the growing concern about environmental issues, such as plastic pollution and climate change, there is a greater focus on developing and using packaging that is less harmful to the environment.

Sustainable packaging solutions are designed to reduce the environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of the packaging material, including production, use, and waste disposal.

A LOWER ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

That is why we are exploring the possibilities of bio-packaging with our suppliers. These packaging solutions reduce the amount of plastic waste and have a lower environmental impact.

Maretti is aware of recyclable packaging materials, and therefore opts for paper, cardboard, glass, and certain types of plastics.

For example, consider the option of soluble packaging. These are designed to dissolve in water or other liquids (such as biodegradable packing peanuts). Together with our suppliers, Maretti is constantly exploring options to make packaging more sustainable.

Indeed, it is an ongoing process of improvement and adaptation. Making sustainable changes requires time, effort, and commitment.

Maretti is committed to investing in sustainability with a focus on the future!
