Dolphin Suites, Curaçao
Dolphin Suites is the first and only fully wheelchair-accessible hotel in the Caribbean. Founded in 2008 by the Curaçao Dolphin Therapy & Research Center, it offers a welcoming environment for families participating in dolphin-assisted therapy.
For this special project, Maretti provided the complete technical lighting. In the hotel rooms and bathrooms, Discus recessed spots in sets of two were installed to ensure optimal light distribution and ambiance. The suites with kitchens are equipped with Kodiak recessed tube spots for focused work lighting. In the restaurant, where high ceilings posed a challenge, a stylish solution was created with rail lighting featuring Kodiak spots, suspended with a pendant system to illuminate the space atmospherically. The hallways and rooms are fitted with Inlet wall lamps to create a warm ambiance. The outdoor lighting was also carefully selected to highlight the natural beauty of the surroundings. Eclipse wall lamps provide illumination for the facades, while Vibe spotlights are strategically placed to subtly highlight the palm trees and create depth in the tropical garden. The carefully selected lighting perfectly matches the atmosphere and look of Dolphin Suites.
